Saglemi Saga: Shock! Current Chief Director Escapes Prosecution

After reading through some documents and reports from the Criminal Investigations Department (C.I.D), which informed the prosecution of the former Works and Housing Ministers, Alhaji Collins Dauda and Kweku Aygeman Mensah together with Alhaji Ziblim Yakubu. 

Some Ghanaians have expressed shock as to why the current Chief Director, Mr. Solomon Asoalla, has not been prosecuted. 

Below are the documents which suggests an alleged wrongdoing on the path of the current Chief Director, Mr. Solomon Asoalla. 

On the 31st of July 2017, the Chief Director of the Ministry, Mr. Solomon Asoalla, on his own accord reviewed the second Amended and Restated agreement and signed the Third Amended and Restated Engineering, Procurement and Construction agreement with the contractor. This was meant to extend the period to December 2017 for the contractor to complete the project. The scope of work was maintained but the contract price was reviewed downwards from US$ 181,519,000.OO.’’
