Ghana's First Ever Creative Arts Senior High School Nearing Completion - Nana Addo

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has disclosed to Ghanaians that the country’s first ever Creative Arts Senior High School to be set up under his leadership has neared completion.

The President made the revelation during the delivery of his first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of his second term in office to the Parliament of Ghana, on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.  He also noted that the new Minister for the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture was committed to moving the industry forward.

“The new Minister for the sector, the industrious Ibrahim Awal Mohammed has also indicated his determination to strengthen the Creative Arts industry in Ghana. Already, the first ever Creative Arts Senior High School located in Kwadaso in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region is nearing completion”, he stated.

The construction of the Arts School took off on Sunday, December 1, 2019 with a sod-cutting ceremony by President Nana Akufo-Addo.

The first Gentleman of the Land also said that Ghana continued to benefit from the Year of Return.

Since then, we have intensified our engagements with Africans, the diaspora and all persons of African descent and more positively in the areas such as trade and investment co-operations and skill and knowledge development – what we call the ‘Beyond The Return’.

According to Nana Akufo-Addo, a lot of work has been done to revamp Ghana’s tourist sites in order to make them attractive.
